A Turkish patisserie on Slotermeerlaan worth knowing specifically for the baklava and kunefe. The baklava is made properly - flaky layers, not over-sweet, the pistachios are the real thing. The kunefe (shredded wheat pastry with molten cheese, soaked in syrup) is something you will not find well-executed most places in Amsterdam. Worth the trip to Nieuw-West.

The nuts are roasted in-house and significantly better than the pre-packaged versions. If you are in the area, buy a bag of the pistachios and a packet of the coffee and call it done.

The tursu (pickles) selection is good - look for properly fermented rather than vinegar-preserved. Also a reliable spot for fresh herbs and the kind of produce you will not find at a standard Dutch supermarket.
